Fonds of the Atwater Library and Computer Centre dating back to 1828. This fonds contains records relating to administration, library, building architecture, and institutional heritage.
Drawings are contained in two large, flat boxes and 7 tubes. They are entirely of the Atwater Library building and its property. These include 1918 drawings by the firm of Hutchison, Wood and Miller for both the original building plan and the revised design; 1971 plans for electrical revision; 1988 drawings of a new library building concept; 2002 drawings; and a variety of other plans recording proposed alterations to the building and property.
The Annual Reports of the Mechanics' Institute were originally published in pamphlet form; in the late 20th century they exist in pamphlet or in document format.
Records relating to daily activities of the library and membership including lectures and special events (1853-1999), library services and programs, catalogues, registers of members, activity logs, and logs of donation.
The collection of account books includes balance books, stock records, petty cash books, monthly financial statements, and salary records. The two Bankers Boxes contain accounting records from both the Atwater Library and the Computer Centre for the years specified, in the form of computer printouts.
